Privacy for Insto reels, photos, and galleries
Insto uses a submitted public URL and returned asset metadata to organize clips, still images, carousel entries, captions, and thumbnails. The service also keeps limited job state, protected abuse-control identifiers, timing, and byte evidence while preparing temporary results. It does not require your social login, and private-platform visibility remains under the publisher's control.

1. What this policy covers
Insto applies this notice to its post analyzer, visual catalog, help form and private handoff links. Instagram and other original hosts remain separate data controllers.
2. Information processed
- Submitted links: the public URL is sent to the resolver so it can detect the source and return formats.
- Operational data: request identifiers, coarse timing, status, byte totals and privacy-protected visitor or IP hashes help prevent abuse and diagnose failures.
- Contact messages: name, email, subject, optional public URL and message are stored in the private control center.
- Continuation links: an opaque token maps to the cleaned public media URL in the control database. The URL is not embedded in the token or QR code.
- Device-only preferences: recent-link history, format preference and private-mode choices stay in browser storage unless you clear them.
- Local media tools: a file selected on the local-tools page is read into temporary WebAssembly memory in your browser and is not uploaded to Insto. The local result disappears when you close or reload the tab unless you save it.
3. Why it is used
Insto processes item metadata to organize returned clips and images, prepare a chosen asset and keep visual requests reliable. Restricted diagnostics support capacity planning and abuse defense.
4. Temporary media and retention
Insto clears prepared visual assets under the media cleanup policy, and signed download locations stop working. Item diagnostics have bounded retention, help requests remain until handled and private handoffs are removable on request.
5. Service providers and upstream platforms
Insto can request public item data from the original visual platform and use hosting, databases and egress services for preparation. Internal authorization is not embedded in shareable links.
6. Cookies and local storage
Insto uses a first-party visitor value to protect capacity. Visual preferences and recent public items may remain on the device, while Private Mode and browser deletion tools put that history under your control.
7. Your choices
Keep sensitive post URLs out of Insto. Private Mode prevents new device history, site data can be cleared in the browser and the contact form is available for record requests. Open the contact form.
8. Children, security and changes
Insto is for users aged at least 13. Appropriate safeguards support the visual-media workspace, but cannot remove every online risk, and major policy updates will receive a new date.
